How to subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and more from anywhere in the world
Many of the world's best streaming services are based in the US and offer the largest content libraries to US subscribers. With a US Apple ID and Apple Gift Cards, you can subscribe to all of them:

The key insight: when you subscribe to a streaming service through the Apple App Store, it charges your Apple ID balance — not a credit card. This means anyone with a US Apple ID and gift card balance can subscribe, regardless of where they live.

Sign into the App Store with your US Apple ID and download the streaming app you want (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc.). Some apps are only available in the US App Store.
Open the app and sign up for a subscription. When prompted to pay, it will use your Apple ID balance. The subscription renews automatically as long as you have sufficient balance.
Streaming subscriptions renew monthly (or annually). To keep your subscription active, make sure your Apple ID balance has enough funds before the renewal date. You can check your balance in Settings > Apple ID > Payment & Shipping on your iPhone or iPad.
If your balance runs out, Apple will attempt to charge again for a few days before canceling. Simply add more funds with a new gift card and the subscription will resume.
Tip: Buy a larger gift card (like $50 or $100) to cover several months of subscriptions at once. This way you don't have to top up every month.
Do I need a VPN? You don't need a VPN to subscribe or pay. However, some streaming content is geo-restricted, so you may need a VPN to access the full US library from outside the US.
Can I share my subscription? Most streaming services allow multiple profiles or screens depending on the plan you choose. Check each service's terms for details.
What if I want to cancel? You can cancel any App Store subscription anytime via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
