Gift Card Guide

Redeem US Gift Cards from Anywhere

Many of our international customers run into blocks when redeeming Apple, Spotify, or other US gift cards. The fix is simple: a US residential IP that makes you look like you're browsing from home in America.

Without US IP

Apple detects your foreign IP address and blocks redemption. Account creation fails. PayPal flags the transaction. "This code is not valid in your region."

With US Residential IP

You appear as a regular American user on home internet. Codes redeem instantly. Accounts work normally. No flags, no blocks, no issues.

Two Options, One Clear Winner

We tested both types with real gift card redemptions. Here's what works.

ISP Proxies (Static)

A dedicated US IP that never changes

  • One static IP assigned to you permanently
  • Good for keeping an Apple ID or PayPal account logged in long-term
  • Unlimited bandwidth included
  • Clean IPs, not detected as proxy
Our test result:
ISP: Interworks Networking Services
Location: Mesa, Arizona, US
Proxy detected: No
Risk score: 0 / 100
Note: Clean, but hostname less residential than Spectrum/Comcast
$2.70 / IP / month

FAQ

Is using a proxy legal?
Yes. Using a proxy or VPN is completely legal in virtually every country. Millions of people use them daily for privacy, security, and accessing content. There is nothing illegal about routing your internet through a different location.
Will Apple or PayPal block me?
Residential proxies use real home internet IPs from providers like Spectrum and Comcast. To Apple and PayPal, you look identical to a regular American user sitting at home. These are not datacenter IPs that get flagged.
How much data does redeeming a gift card use?
Very little. A typical gift card redemption uses under 10 MB of data. At $1.75/GB, that's less than $0.02 per redemption. Even heavy use like creating accounts and browsing rarely exceeds 100 MB.
Do I need this for every purchase from Jerry Cards?
No. You only need a US IP when redeeming the gift card code on Apple, Spotify, or other platforms. Purchasing from Jerry Cards works from any country. If your current setup already lets you redeem codes, you don't need this.
Which option should I choose?
For most customers, Residential Proxies are the best choice. You pay only for what you use, the IPs are real home connections, and they're virtually undetectable. Choose ISP Proxies only if you need a permanent static IP for long-term account maintenance.
